![]() Victor Smith, MD August 12, 2023 Dr. “Vic” Smith was a beloved community pediatrician at Queen City Pediatrics for over 45 years. He was a dear friend to many in the Cincinnati medical community and will be remembered fondly by his colleagues, patients, and families. Read Victor's Obituary Here. ![]() John Partin, MD August 25, 2023 Dr. Partin was a pediatric resident from 1960-1962 and a Chief Resident 1962-1963. After a tour in the US Army, Dr. Partin returned to Cincinnati Children's in 1966. He established an Electron Microscope Laboratory, funded by the William K. Schubert family, where he worked side-by-side with his wife on childhood illnesses such as Reye’s Syndrome. After 14 years at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, John became the first Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at the State University of New York - Stony Brook. Read John's Obituary Here. ![]() Alan Oestreich, MD, FACR September 20, 2023 Dr. Oestreich was an integral part of the Department of Radiology for 43 years. He was a prolific author and spoke widely at meetings in North America and Europe, where he was an honorary member of several societies. A devoted teacher, he was recognized with the Singleton-Taybi Award by the Society for Pediatric Radiology in 2020. His dedication and involvement with our child abuse team was recognized earlier this year with his inclusion in the Clinical Care Team Award from Cincinnati Children’s. Elisabeth (Lisa) Kelley, MD Elisabeth (Lisa) Kelley, MD, passed away unexpectedly from a brain aneurysm on Saturday, September 30. Dr. Kelley joined Cincinnati Children’s in 1998 serving in the Community Health Services Network at Batesville and Greensburg as a Staff Physician III.
Receiving her Doctor of Medicine degree from Georgetown University in Washington DC, Dr. Kelley completed her residency at Georgetown University Hospital where she was the Chief Resident from 1992-1993. Dr. Kelley has been practicing primary care pediatrics in Batesville and Greensburg, Indiana since her residency. During her time there, Dr. Kelley was co-medical director of Children’s Health Care and served on the Board of Directors of Margaret Mary Health (MMH). She was a long-standing member of the Medical Ethics Committee and served on the Integrative Medicine Committee at MMH. In the community, she also served as a member of the Young Child Wellness Council serving Southeastern Indiana |
