Alumni Relations Newsletter
Winter 2023

The end of a year is always a great time to reflect on the changes, accomplishments, and challenges we have faced over the last 12 months. 2023 has been an exciting year at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, with the announcement of our #1 ranking with the US News and World Report for the Best Children’s Hospital. We also recently celebrated our 140th anniversary!

We are continuing to expand and renovate our facilities. This year we opened the Cincinnati Children’s Centerville location, expanded our mental health services with the renovated William K. Schubert, M.D. Mental Health Center at College Hill, and broke ground for new buildings in Eastgate and Northern Kentucky.

We have seen many valuable and promising research studies, welcomed new leadership, and participated in many advocacy projects. All of these endeavors will continue our mission of improving child health and transforming the delivery of care.

We wish all of our alumni and happy, healthy, and rewarding 2024.

Cincinnati Children’s Has a History of Advancing Mental Health

On October 9, Cincinnati Children’s announced a transformational donation of $15 million from the James J. and Joan A. Gardner Family Foundation to establish a Mental and Behavioral Health Institute, and our new residential facility at College Hill opened Oct. 16. But addressing mental health issues is not new to Cincinnati Children’s. Read more about this in the latest issue of Inspire.
